Capture with Ease
Image-Pro Basic 10’s principal image capture and video recording capability is an integrated as default functionality, designed for viewing live previews, acquiring movies, and capturing still images from digital cameras and frame grabbers. Capturing images the with the right depth of field, magnification, exposure, and contrast can be difficult, but Image-Pro Basic 10 delivers all the tools to accomplish this and much more.
This robust software contains a variety of specialty capture options such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) capture, Live Tiling, Live Extended Depth of Field (EDF), Live Measurements, Live Image Comparison, and Live Calibrated overlays, so capturing the best image is possible and easier than ever.

LIVE Extended Depth of Field
Capture beautifully focused images, regardless of depth, with Live EDF. No automated z motor required. The left side of the image above is the live image that can only focus on a narrow depth of field, whereas the right side is a composite image assembled from all the sharpest, in-focus pixels at all focus depths.
LIVE Tiling
Stitch together multiple fields of view as you manually move around your specimen with Live Tiling. The algorithm is flexible enough to allow movements in 360 degrees from the first frame and gives you visual queues when the next frame is about to be captured. Combine the tiling function with Live EDF to create a focused, tiled image at each position. No automated stage required.

Record time-lapse events
Record quick events or experiments that last for longer periods of time. Replay your recordings in the Gallery View and choose to display the acquisition time stamp as an active overlay. Easily save movies as .AVI, .TIF or .WMV formats.
Define your time-lapse recording as a fixed interval and set the duration for Msecs up to Days, based on your needs and storage capacity. For quick bursts, run “As fast as possible” and push your acquisition device to its limits.
The gallery view gives a frame by frame presentation of the time-lapse and allows fine control over editing individual frames or large sections of the sequence.

Draw accurate line measurements every time with the Snap Measurement tools. Simply draw and the measurement will accurately snap along object edges
